In a hurry again; and it shows. A special envoy is in Bolivia where things are heating. In this interview Evo set his post (and those of the hostile governors) to be ratified by the people. He’s confident in the democratic way to solve the many imbalances in his country, and keep struggling with secessionist tendencies in the Eastern provinces.
There’s a simplified vision of Morales as just a follower of Chavez. But Morales made his way into the presidency step by step starting at the lowest social ranks; building his party, organizing workers. I think that he shows a remarkable balance between his will for change and the realization of the many obstacles of a complex reality.
